Special Announcement: our Contemplative Christmas Eve Service will be held at 5:00 PM in Collings Hall

We gather on Sunday mornings at 10:15 AM for worship. Our worship services are designed to create space to experience the presence of God and learn how to more faithfully follow Jesus. Most Sundays, our services involve the following elements:

Call to Worship

Invocation

Being with Jesus

During this time, we may sing, pray, experience God in silence and stillness, reflect upon a scripture, image, or poem, or otherwise create space to rest in the presence of God.

Becoming like Jesus

Here we explore a passage from the Bible, often from the Gospels. There is usually a message from the pastor, followed by a time for questions, dialogue, or other sharing.

Doing the things Jesus did

Each week, we discern a challenge arising from our lesson and discussion time that sends us into the world to live out what we have learned.

Singing Together

We usually end with a song as a final act of worship.

Blessing

We depart with a word of blessing or encouragement.

Once a month we celebrate ‘Around the Table.’ On the second Sunday of each month, we meet, not in the sanctuary, but downstairs in our fellowship hall . Here we experience what the early Church did when they celebrated the Lord’s Supper (aka Communion, aka the Eucharist). In this service, we begin with a fellowship breakfast (for those hobbits among you, it can be your second!), move into a celebration of the Lord’s Supper in which we raise our cup to King Jesus, and conclude with a time of learning and sharing.
